Legato Level 2
Compared to the first level, here the difficulty is a bit increased because of the three notes per string scales. Again, try to focus more on connecting strings and phrases with a smoother sound in order to make the most of this set of exercises.
Similarly to the first legato level, these exercises can be rather unmusical to practice but they’re essential to master the fundamentals of this technique.
In this level, you will improve the following aspects:
– the hammer-on
– the pull-off
– more strength in your fingers
– improving timing
This is the second level of legato, since the complete legato technique is developed through a progression of six levels.
