This study is built essentially in A minor pentatonic scale. However, you will see the use of notes outside the scale, such as the F note in the second bar which closes the phrase emphasizing the harmonic change. Another example is the F# in the second phrase which recalls the major pentatonic scale and the typical combining blues. When you play this, focus and do your best on the two tone bending pitch in the third measure.
